Meet our leadership team
Founder and Executive Chairman
Adam founded Articulate in 2002 with a vision to make it easier for the world to learn. He has conceptualized and driven design for every Articulate product.
Under Adam's direction, Articulate has grown from a groundbreaking idea into an award-winning company that has been recognized by Deloitte as one of the fastest-growing new technology companies in North America. Adam has more than 20 years of experience in the e-learning industry.
Before founding Articulate, Adam was General Manager for a division of Knowledge Universe, a $1.75 billion learning and education organization founded by Michael Milken and Larry Ellison.
Chief Executive Officer
Lucy drives company strategy and execution at Articulate.
She leads the successful Articulate SaaS businesses, including world-class marketing, customer success, and content operations that she built from the ground up. Lucy spun up every aspect of the Rise business and drives its day-to-day operations, helping Adam realize his vision for the innovative product.
In the two decades before joining Articulate, Lucy held various marketing leadership roles and worked with companies like Apple, Adobe, and PayPal.
Chief Culture Officer
Dino leads strategic direction of the Articulate human-centered organization (HCO) framework and its diversity, inclusion, and belonging program.
In the last 10 years, Dino has held leadership roles in talent development, culture evolution, and inclusion and diversity at various organizations such as Maxim Integrated, First Look, and Mozilla Corporation.
Dino holds teaching positions at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Johns Hopkins University's Master of Liberal Arts Program.
Chief Revenue Officer
Jaimie leads the global sales and customer success teams at Articulate.
Prior to Articulate, Jaimie held senior sales leadership roles for five years at Zendesk. During her tenure, the company grew from $300M to $1B+, and she led SDR/BDR, SMB, Commercial, and Enterprise teams.
During her 20+ year sales career, she has held sales and leadership positions at Andreessen Horowitz, VMware, Coverity, Meraki, Coraid, and Inktomi.
Chief Operating Officer
Brian drives strategy, sales, and operations for Articulate's international business, and leads our revenue operations, business solutions, and customer support teams for Articulate and Rise.
In the last 15 years, Brian has held leadership roles in product management at Jive Software, direct sales at Palm, Inc., and product management at Yahoo.
At Yahoo, he led product negotiations and integration with strategic telecom partners totaling more than $150 million in revenue.
Chief People Officer
Angela leads everything people at Articulate.
Angela joined our team in 2015 as the first in-house people expert, building both systems and our team to support the growth of Articulate employees.
Angela has more than 25 years of human resources and leadership experience, working with startups to Fortune 1000 organizations.
Chief Marketing Officer
Vanessa leads brand marketing, product marketing, demand generation, and customer training teams at Articulate. With deep experience in subscription marketing and customer-centric growth strategies, Vanessa is responsible for driving customer growth and retention.
Vanessa’s background spans B2B and B2C, including technology, professional services, hospitality, CPG, and e-commerce/direct to consumer. Prior to Articulate, Vanessa was SVP of Growth & Marketing at Sunbasket, a San Francisco-based DTC company. She is passionate about building teams in the service of mission-led brands.
Chief Technology Officer
Mike directs our technical strategy and leads product development.
Since joining Articulate in 2009 as the first in-house web engineering expert, Mike has transformed the engineering organization. He's grown the team sixfold, driving modern engineering processes and technology. Under his leadership, the engineering team at Articulate developed Rise.com and its predecessor, the award-winning Rise authoring app.
Mike has been leading engineering teams for almost two decades. Before joining Articulate, he helped advance architecture and design at various organizations, including Boston Scientific.
Chief Financial Officer
Edwin drives finance at Articulate and leads a team of finance professionals that partner with the business to deliver on its strategy and execution.
He has two decades of U.S. and international finance leadership experience across a range of public and private SaaS, content services, and learning technology companies, including Blackboard, busuu.com, McGraw-Hill Education, and Wolters Kluwer.
VP of Customer Success
Romaine leads customer success at Articulate.
She joined our team in 2020 to scale our post-sales customer experience across the entire customer life cycle—from onboarding and engagement to renewal and expansion.
Romaine comes to Articulate with nearly 20 years' experience in sales, account management, and customer success. Her background spans various software industries, including HR, sales enablement, and social media management. Most recently, Romaine led enterprise and midmarket customer success teams in the U.S., Asia, and Latin America at LinkedIn and Sprout Social.
VP of Sales
Maria leads Articulate and Rise sales teams for North America.
Over the past 25+ years, she has built and worked with talented high-achieving teams at marquee SaaS companies Zendesk, Sprinklr, Salesforce.com, Oracle, and Siebel. Maria joined Articulate after four years at Zendesk, where she led Eastern U.S., Canada, and Public Sector sales teams to triple-digit growth. Her success in leading and mentoring teams is grounded in a human-centered approach, helping each person to recognize, leverage, and grow their unique talents to maximize their potential.
VP of International Sales
Don leads international sales for Articulate.
An e-learning veteran with 23 years of industry experience, Don joined Articulate 19 years ago, just after the company’s inception. In that time, Don has grown Articulate’s international sales and implemented a partner strategy that includes nearly 50 channel partners in more than 45 countries around the world.
VP of Client Services
Justin leads our technical support, sales engineering, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams.
Since joining our team in 2012, Justin has grown support fourfold and built sales engineering and GRC from the ground up. He drives modern best practices and continues the Articulate tradition of outstanding service. Justin has more than 20 years of support and leadership experience and specializes in the intersection of learning and technology.
Chief Learning Architect
Tom develops learning strategies and programs for Articulate 360 Training.
Tom is best known as the author of The Rapid E-Learning Blog, which provides practical, real-world tips for e-learning success to more than 100,000 e-learning developers.
Tom has over 20 years of experience in the training industry, developing hundreds of hours of e-learning and managing e-learning projects at Capital One, Washington Mutual, and Weyerhaeuser.
VP of Design
Charlie leads cross-functional design teams at Articulate that own product, brand, and video design and asset production.
Since joining Articulate in 2015, Charlie has led the growth and development of a world-class design organization. Charlie is deeply passionate about the products Articulate creates and the stories that help people fall in love with them. Before joining Articulate, he worked as a multidisciplinary designer with brands such as Apple, Samsung, Google, and Nissan.
VP of Strategic Initiatives
Kelly leads the strategic projects and strategic analysis teams at Articulate, driving cross-functional work across the organization and deriving insights that power our growth.
Before joining Articulate in 2014, Kelly held various marketing and communications leadership roles in tech, community organizations, and the Peace Corps.
VP of Growth Operations
Ben leads Articulate’s growth operations team, responsible for driving acquisition, engagement, and retention through new initiatives, data science insights, and various aspects of product management.
Passionate about tech-enabled education as a mechanism for social mobility and change, Ben brings experience in impact analytics, edtech, and finance to the Articulate leadership team.
VP of Information Technology
Taruna leads Articulate’s information technology team and is responsible for the organization’s technology systems and services.
Prior to joining Articulate, Taruna held various roles in technology with a focus on strategy, transformation, and operational excellence.
VP of Finance
Trevor manages Articulate’s accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations functions.
He has more than 20 years of accounting and finance leadership experience in private and public high-growth technology companies. Before joining Articulate, Trevor held leadership roles at Mitek Systems, Entropic Communications, DivX, and Inseego.
VP of Engineering
James Welle leads the engineering team that builds Articulate 360.
He has over 15 years of industry experience and, prior to Articulate, worked at Microsoft on the Office and Windows products.
