Storyline 360: Simplified Output Folder Names

Article Last Updated

This article applies to:

Thanks to customer feedback, we simplified the published output from Storyline 360 project files. As of November 2022, Storyline 360 no longer adds Storyline output to the folder name. Now, the title you define for your project is the only text that appears in your published output. Note that the maximum length for each output folder name is eight words.

What to Expect

Here's how this enhancement impacts new and existing Storyline projects:

New Projects

New projects published with the November 2022 update or later no longer include Storyline output in the folder name of the published output. No more having to delete it manually! Just publish your course and let Storyline 360 handle the rest.

Check out these before-and-after screenshots of the output folder names.

Existing Projects

Projects created with Storyline 3 or earlier versions of Storyline 360 still include Storyline output in the folder name when published to the same folder location (with the latest update of Storyline 360).

It's easy to apply the simplified naming convention to existing projects. Here's how. On the Publish window, click the ellipsis button (...) next to the Folder field to select a different folder location, as shown below.
