HTML5 support in Internet Explorer and classic versions of Microsoft Edge lags behind other major browsers. For example, these Microsoft browsers don’t support "masking" animations in HTML5 content.

As a result, the following Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 animations and transitions won’t work when you view HTML5 courses in Internet Explorer or classic versions of Microsoft Edge. They also won't work in CD-published output since it relies on Internet Explorer.

Here are some suggestions for working around this Microsoft limitation:

  • Use a different animation or transition in your Storyline course if it's a vital part of the content.
  • Install the chromium version of Microsoft Edge, which supports masking animations.
  • Switch to another desktop browser that supports masking animations: Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
