A Blank Folder Appears After Creating or Opening a PowerPoint File

Article Last Updated

This article applies to:

You may find that a blank folder suddenly appears when you create a new PowerPoint file or open an existing one. The name of the folder may be Presentation1, or it may match the PowerPoint file name. In either case, the folder is empty.

This issue was corrected in Update 4 for Articulate Presenter. To take advantage of the new features and fixes, download and install the latest version from the link in your product confirmation email or get it here.

Installing Update 4 won't remove the empty folder that appeared before you updated your software, but it'll prevent it from occurring in the future. You can safely delete any empty folders that appeared prior to the update.
