Adding an Object to a Slide Extends the Duration of the Slide

When adding an object to a slide in Articulate Storyline, you may find that the duration of the slide unexpectedly increases. This can happen in the following scenarios:

  • When inserting audio or video, the slide duration will increase, if necessary, to accommodate the length of the inserted media.
  • When copying and pasting an object from one slide to another, the original duration of the object will be retained, which means the duration for the new slide will increase, if necessary, to accommodate the duration of the original object.

If you'd rather not keep the additional time, you'll need to adjust the duration of the slide by dragging the End line to the appropriate location on the timeline.
