Arrowhead size in published presentation does not match PowerPoint

If you include a PowerPoint AutoShape arrow in your presentation, you may find that the published size of the arrowhead does not match the original AutoShape in PowerPoint.  This is a known issue.  You can correct it.  Here's how:

PowerPoint 2007

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Right-click the AutoShape arrow, and select Format Shape.
  3. Select the 3-D Rotation tab.
  4. Set the rotation for the X axis to 1.
  5. Click the Close button to save the change.
  6. Publish your presentation.

PowerPoint 2003 and earlier

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Right-click the AutoShape arrow, and select Save as Picture.
  3. Save the image as a PNG file.
  4. Delete the AutoShape arrow from your presentation.
  5. Navigate to Insert > Picture > From File.
  6. Browse for the image saved in Step 3 above.
  7. Position the inserted image as desired.
  8. Publish your presentation.
