Export Articulate Online reports to XML when data includes commas

If you want to export your reports from Articulate Online for further analysis, it is recommended that you select the XML export option if the following are true:

  1. Your reporting data includes commas, such as:
    • Washington, DC
    • Articulate Global, Inc.
    • $50,000
  2. You will be using the exported reports in a spreadsheet or database

If you export your Articulate Online reports to CSV (Comma-Separated Value) format, the commas in your data (see above) will create unintended column breaks in your spreadsheet or database.
