How to Add a Keyboard Input Language in Microsoft Windows

In order to use right-to-left text in Articulate Storyline, you'll need to add a keyboard for a right-to-left language in Microsoft Windows. Follow the instructions for your version of Windows below.

Windows 10

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. Go to Clock, Language, and Region > Language.
  3. Click Add a language.
  4. Double-click the language you want to add.
  5. If you're presented with a list of nationalities for the language you selected, choose a country, then click Add.

Windows 8

  1. Press Windows Key+X on your keyboard to display the Tools Menu, then select Control Panel. Or, right-click the lower left corner of your monitor to display the Tools Menu, then select Control Panel.
  2. Go to Clock, Language, and Region > Language.
  3. Click Add a language.
  4. Double-click the language you want to add.
  5. If you're presented with a list of nationalities for the language you selected, choose a country, then click Add.

Windows 7 or Windows Vista

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Change keyboards or other input methods.
  2. Click the Change keyboards button.
  3. On the General tab, click the Add button.
  4. Scroll to the language you want to use and click the plus sign to expand it.
  5. Click the plus sign beside Keyboard and select the nationality you want to use.
  6. Click OK three times to save your changes.
