Invalid Username or Password when connecting to Articulate Online API

An error of Invalid Username or Password when connecting to the Articulate Online API can be caused by a couple of different reasons.

  1. The credentials that you supplied to the API are incorrect for CustomerID*, Password, or EmailAddress.  Verify that your credentials are correct and try posting again.
  2. You are connecting to the webservice for the incorrect account.
    Example:  You are connecting to: "https://www.articulate-online.com/services/api/1.0/articulateonline.asmx".
    You should be connecting to: "https://yourdomain.articulate-online.com/services/api/1.0/articulateonline.asmx".

*Your Articulate Online Customer ID can be found by looking at the URL in your browser's address bar after logging in to Articulate Online. The numeric value specified in the title bar for CustID is your customer id. For example, if the URL in your address bar is https://yourdomain.articulate-online.com/Content/Manage.aspx?CustID=12345, your customer id is 12345
