Narration in presentation is cut off for Engage interaction slides

This article applies to:

If you have inserted an Engage interaction into your presentation and also recorded narration or imported audio in Presenter for the interaction slide, you may find that the narration is cut off or interrupted.  This can occur if the narration in Presenter is longer than the duration of the Engage interaction.  The duration of the interaction takes precedence over the narration recorded for the same slide in Presenter.  Thus, the narration will be truncated to match the duration of the (shorter) interaction.

You can correct this using one of the following methods:

Use a playlist

  1. Export a copy of the narration from your presentation.
  2. Remove the narration from the interaction slide in Presenter.
  3. Create a new playlist in Presenter, and add the exported audio file for the interaction slide to the playlist.
  4. Use Slide Properties to assign the new playlist to the interaction slide.

Record narration in Engage

  1. Remove the narration from the interaction slide in Presenter.
  2. Record your narration in the Engage interaction.
