Presenter bio, email buttons, and toolbar menu items display behind a Web Object

Article Last Updated

This article applies to:

A Web Object will always display as the top level item on a slide.  If you click on the presenter bio, the email buttons, or a toolbar menu item while viewing a Web Object, the Web Object will obscure the option you selected.

You can workaround this Flash limitation in one of the following ways:

  • Display the slide that contains the Web Object in Slide Only view via Slide Properties > Change View, which will hide the player elements, so that they do not inadvertently appear behind the Web Object.
  • Use the unsupported solution described in this article, which involves inserting a SWF file into the Web Object slide.
