Published content isn't working when viewed in Google Chrome on the local computer

The integrated Flash Player for Google Chrome (i.e., the Pepper plugin) that was released July 31, 2012 doesn't support trusted locations (Chromium Bug 137734) or local playback of videos (Chromium Bug 140755). As a result, the following Studio '09 features may not work as expected when viewing published content on your local computer in the Google Chrome browser:

  • Videos
  • Flash files
  • Hyperlinks
  • Attachments
  • Web objects
  • Exit tab
  • Email Results
  • Print Results
  • Quiz property: Goes to URL
  • Quiz property: Close Window

Until Google corrects this issue, use any of the following workarounds:

  • Use a different web browser to view published content on your local computer.
  • Or, install an earlier version of Flash Player for Google Chrome.
  • Or, best of all, upload your published content to a web server or LMS. We don't officially support viewing published content on the local computer (unless you've published for CD). Local security restrictions from your computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network can cause various features of your published output to fail.
