Remove the "Change view mode" button or customize the available viewing modes

In Presenter '09, you can remove the Change view mode button from your published presentations, or you can modify which viewing modes it is capable of displaying.

To remove the Change view mode button:

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Navigate to Articulate > Player Templates.
  3. Select the Player Controls tab.
  4. Deselect the check box for Change view mode button.
  5. Click the Close button.
  6. Save your changes when prompted.
  7. Publish your presentation.

To customize the available viewing modes:

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Navigate to Articulate > Player Templates.
  3. Select the Layout tab.
  4. In the View Modes section, select only the view modes you wish to include in your presentation.  Your choices are:
    • Standard view
    • No sidebar view
    • Slide only view
  5. Choose the default view for your presentation by selecting the appropriate view mode and clicking the Set As Starting View button.
  6. Click the Close button.
  7. Save your changes when prompted.
  8. Publish your presentation.
