The Articulate Updater for Internet Explorer 10 and 11 corrects a known issue where existing Articulate Studio '09 content wouldn't track properly in a learning management system (LMS) when viewed with Internet Explorer 10 or 11. (To prevent this issue from occurring in new content, install the latest update for Studio '09.)

To perform a standard installation of the updater, click here. To perform a silent (or unattended) installation, download the Articulate Updater for Internet Explorer 10 and 11, then do the following:

Create a response file

First, you need to create a response file. The response file tells the installer what action to take for all user prompts.

  1. Launch a command prompt.
  2. At the command prompt type the following:

    "<path>\IE11Updater.exe" -r -f1"<path>\response.iss"

Note: There's no space between -f1 and the quotation mark.
  3. When the installer launches, follow the prompts to install the updater.

response.iss file will be created in the path you specified, containing all your selections. Now you're ready to silently install the updater.

Silently install the updater

The updater requires Windows XP or later and Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

  1. Copy the installer and the response file to the machine where you want to install it.
  2. Launch a command prompt.
  3. At the command prompt type the following:

    "<path>\IE11Updater.exe" -s -f1"<path>\response.iss" -sms

Note: There's no space between -f1 and the quotation mark.
