This is a known issue. You can correct it. Here's how:

- Select the block of text which contains the unexpected additional spacing.
- Select the Home tab on the PowerPoint ribbon (toolbar).
- Click the Character Spacing button.
- Select More Spacing...
- Type .1 in the pt field, or click the up arrow for the pt spinner one time.
- Click the OK button.
- Publish your presentation.
PowerPoint 2003 and earlier
- Select the block of text which contains the unexpected additional spacing.
- Increase the font size.
- Publish your presentation.
Note: PowerPoint versions 2003 and earlier do not include a character spacing feature. Depending on the font you have chosen, you may need to make more than one adjustment in font size before the character spacing issue is resolved.
