Text in freeform shape is doubled

If you add text to a freeform shape that you’ve drawn in PowerPoint 2007 or 2010, you may find that the text is doubled when you publish with Presenter ‘09, so that it appears blurry, fuzzy, or shadowed.

This is a known issue.  You can correct it, using either of the following methods:

  • Right-click the freeform shape, and select Cut.  Then click the Paste drop-down arrow on the Home tab, and select Picture.
  • Select the text in the freeform shape, right-click, and select Cut.  Then add a text box on top of the freeform shape, and Paste your text into the text box.
