The Narration Script window will not open

If you click the Narration Script button in Articulate Engage '09 and find that the Narration Script window does not appear, it's likely related to a change in your multiple monitor environment.

The Narration Script window will open on the same monitor where it was last used. If that monitor is no longer available, you won't be able to see the Narration Script window when it opens.

To correct this, you'll need to temporarily go back to the multiple monitor setup that you used previously. Make sure the following are true:

  • You're using the same number of monitors as before.
  • Your monitors are ordered in Display Settings the same as before.
  • The main monitor and extended monitor(s) are specified correctly in Display Settings as before.

After resetting your monitor configuration to the way it was previously, do the following:

  1. Launch your Articulate Engage '09 interaction.
  2. Click the Narration Script button.
  3. Drag the Narration Script window to the monitor you wish to use.
  4. Then, if you want, you can disconnect or rearrange monitors.

For reference, here's how to access the Display Settings in Windows:

  1. Right-click your desktop.
  2. Select Screen resolution.
