How do I sign up for a free trial?

It’s easy! Click here and enter your email address.

If you already have an account with us (an Articulate ID), you’ll be prompted to enter your password and activate your free trial. That’s all there is to it!

If you don’t have an account, just create a password, enter your information (name, country, etc.), and then activate your free trial.

Note: If you're tasked with purchasing in your organization but won't be using the tools, ask the person at the organization who will be the primary Articulate 360 user to sign up for the trial. That will enable the primary author to get the first seat. They can then add you as an admin so you can convert the trial to a paid subscription. Learn how this works here.

How long does a free trial last?

A free trial lasts 30 days. It starts when the primary admin signs up for the trial, and it ends 30 days later at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

The trial period ends at the same time for all team members, even if they were added to the team on different days.

What features are included in a free trial?

You get everything you need for course development, including award-winning authoring apps, 17+ million course assets, a simple project review app, live online training, exclusive collaboration features, and easy account management.

  • Build as much content as you want with unlimited storage space.

Attachments and links will work as expected for preview-link shares once your trial becomes a subscription.

How many users can I add to my team during the trial period?

You can add up to 10 additional users to your team, for a total of 11 seats. Users create e-learning courses and collaborate with one another.

You can also add as many secondary admins as you’d like. Admins can add and remove team members but can’t use the Articulate 360 apps.

Any user or admin on the team can convert your free trial to a paid subscription.

You can distribute training to up to 300 active learners during your trial using Reach 360. Admins and team members count as active learners when they take training. Learn more about active learners in Reach 360.

How do I add users to my team?

When you sign up for a free trial and validate your account, the first thing you’ll see is a screen where you can add up to 10 additional users to your team. Just enter their email addresses and click Send Invite.

If you’d prefer to add users later, you can go to your account management console and click Manage Team on the left side of the screen to add users and admins.

Tip: The team management console lets you know about undelivered invitation emails. Visit this article for details.

What are the different user roles for team members?

There are three roles for team members. This table describes what each role can do during the free trial.

In Reach 360, you can assign three roles from the account management console: Reach 360 admin, manager, and reporter. Anyone who takes training is considered a learner. See this article for more details about these roles.

Can I remove users from my team?

Yes. Go to your account management console and click Manage Team on the left side of the screen. Hover over each user you want to remove, click the X that appears, and choose what happens to their content.

After removing users from your team, you can invite others to take their places.

Note: You can’t remove a user from the team and then add the same user again during the free trial. However, you can add the same user to the team after converting your free trial to a paid subscription.

Can the primary admin be removed from the team?

No. The person who created the trial is the account owner/primary admin and can’t be removed from the team. (Secondary admins and users, however, can be removed.)

What happens to users’ content when they’re removed from the team?

When you remove a user from your team, their Articulate 360 apps stop working. You must transfer their shared content to another team member. Then decide whether to include their personal online content in the transfer or keep them with the user's Articulate ID. Content includes Rise 360 content, block templates, question banks, Review 360 items, and Storyline 360 team slides. See this article for details.

Note: You can’t remove users from the team and then add the same users again during the free trial. However, you can add them back to the team after converting your free trial to a paid subscription. If you chose not to include personal content when you removed them from your team, they’ll have access to all their Rise 360 content, question banks, block templates, and Review 360 items in private folders.

Can I try Articulate 360 by myself, or do I need a team?

You’ll have access to all the same features whether you try Articulate 360 on your own or invite others to join your team.

To get the most out of your free trial, we recommend inviting others to join your team, so you can take advantage of collaborative features, including shared team slides in Storyline 360, shared block templates in Rise 360, and collaborative authoring in Rise 360.

Can my team members start their own free trials later?

No. Each person gets one free trial of Articulate 360, whether they're the account owner/primary admin, a secondary admin, or an end user.

Can a user be a member of more than one team at the same time?

No. Each user can be a member of only one team, whether it’s a free trial or a paid subscription.

How do I buy a subscription?

It’s easy! Go to our pricing page, click Buy Now, and enter the email address and password you used to sign up for the free trial. Follow the prompts to convert your free trial to a paid subscription.

If you have questions, let us know. We’re here to help!

Who is allowed to buy a subscription for my trial team?

Any member of your team can buy a subscription.

If you need someone else to buy a subscription on behalf of your team, add that person to your trial team as an admin or user. Then they can convert the trial team to a paid subscription.

Here’s what happens to your team, depending on which subscription is purchased.

Articulate 360 Teams

When a member of your team buys an Articulate 360 Teams subscription, the team transitions seamlessly from a free trial to a paid subscription. Everyone remains on the team, and all content created by the team stays intact. (If you buy fewer seats than the number of users in your trial, the users who were most recently added to the trial get removed from the team.)

The person who buys the subscription becomes the account owner and primary admin for the team. (If a secondary admin or user buys a subscription for the team, then the trial owner becomes a secondary admin and user.) All other team members keep the same roles they had during the free trial.

Tip: If a member of your trial team wants to buy a separate Articulate 360 Teams subscription, you’ll need to remove that person from your team so they can purchase a new subscription.

Articulate 360 Personal

When a secondary admin or user buys a personal Articulate 360 subscription, they’re removed from the team, and their content moves to the new subscription. And a team admin can invite another user to take their place on the team.

If the trial owner/primary admin buys a personal subscription, the team trial immediately ends, and their content moves to the new subscription. All secondary admins and users are removed from the team, but their content stays intact in case they choose to buy subscriptions of their own.

When I buy a subscription, will my team have access to the content we created during the trial?

Yes. As long as a member of your team purchases the subscription, the transition from a free trial to a paid subscription is seamless. Users who have seats on the paid team can continue working with the same content they created during the trial period, including Reach 360 training and reports.

Can someone who’s not on the trial team convert the team to a paid subscription?

No. The purchaser needs to be a member of the team. An admin for the team can invite the purchaser to the team as an admin or user. Then the purchaser can convert the trial team to a paid subscription.

In this scenario, the purchaser becomes the account owner and primary admin for the team. The trial owner becomes a secondary admin and user. All other team members keep the same roles they had during the free trial.

The team transitions seamlessly from a free trial to a paid subscription. Everyone remains on the team, and all content created by the team stays intact. Read this section if you’re buying fewer seats than the number of users in your trial.

Can a member of the trial team buy a subscription for a different team?

Yes. An admin for the trial team just needs to remove the user from the team so they can buy a separate Articulate 360 Teams subscription.

If your trial has expired and you can no longer remove the user from your team, let us know and we’ll take care of it right away.

Can a member of the trial team buy a personal subscription instead?

Yes. When a secondary admin or user buys a personal Articulate 360 subscription, they get removed from the team and their content moves to the new subscription.

If the trial owner/primary admin buys a personal subscription, the team trial immediately ends and their content moves to the new subscription. All secondary admins and users get removed from the team, but their content stays intact in case they choose to buy subscriptions of their own.

Do I have to buy a subscription during the trial period, or can I purchase after the trial ends?

You can buy a subscription at any time, either during the trial period or after it expires.

How much does an Articulate 360 subscription cost?

The annual rate is $1,399 for an Articulate 360 Teams subscription and $1099 for an Articulate 360 personal subscription.

Academic discounts are available for qualifying institutions. See this article for pricing details.

Can I buy more seats than the number of users on my trial team?

Absolutely. You can buy as many seats as you want.

What happens if I buy fewer seats than the number of users on my trial team?

If you buy fewer seats than the number of users in your trial, the users who were most recently added to the trial get removed from the team. The person who signed up for the trial has the first seat.

Users who are removed in this process may lose access to the content they created. We can help them regain access from the back end if needed, but removing users before purchasing gives you more control over what happens to content and avoids disruption. We recommend following these steps, once you determine whether the person who signed up for the trial (the primary admin) needs a seat after purchase.

If the primary admin needs a seat:

  1. Before purchasing, answer these questions:
    1. Which users do you want to remove from the team?
    2. Who will receive their shared content?
    3. Will you let removed users keep their personal content?
  2. Review this user guide on managing content when users leave your team.
  3. Remove the users and transfer their content based on your answers in step #1.
  4. Purchase the number of seats needed.

If the primary admin doesn't need a seat:

  1. Before purchasing, answer these questions:
    1. Which users do you want to remove from the team?
    2. Which seatholder can you temporarily remove to take the primary admin's seat after purchase?
    3. Who will receive their shared content?
    4. Will you let removed users keep their personal content?
  2. Review this user guide on managing content when users leave your team.
  3. Remove the users and transfer their content based on your answers in step #1.
  4. Purchase the number of seats needed.
  5. Add the user you removed in step #1-b as an admin. Learn how to manage admins here.
  6. Remove the primary admin from the seat and transfer the shared content to the user.
  7. Remove the user's admin access.

Will everyone on my team have the same role after buying a subscription?

The person who buys the subscription becomes the account owner and primary admin for the team. (If a secondary admin or user buys the subscription, then the trial owner becomes a secondary admin and user.) All other team members keep the same roles they had during the free trial.

Will you delete all my data if I decide not to buy a subscription?

We'll keep your online content on our servers up to six months after your free trial ends, including Reach 360 training and reports. Personal online content—including Rise 360 content, question banks, block templates, and Review 360 items in private folders—is tied to your Articulate ID. This means you'll regain access when you subscribe using the same account within six months. However, shared content stays with the expired trial or subscription. Shared content includes everything in the team directory—Rise 360 and Review 360 content and question banks—as well as Rise 360 shared block templates and Storyline 360 shared team slides. We can help you transfer that content if needed.

If you want us to delete all of your data immediately, let us know and we'll take care of it right away.
