If Studio 360 is malfunctioning, first make sure your project files are located on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency.

If it's still performing erratically, follow the steps below for your version of Microsoft Windows:

Windows 11

You'll need administrative privileges and an active internet connection to install software properly. You may need to ask your IT staff for help with these steps.

  1. Temporarily turn off User Account Control (UAC) and reboot your computer.
  2. Right-click the Start button, then select Apps and Features.
  3. Scroll to Articulate Studio 360 from your list of apps, click the three vertical dots beside it, and select Uninstall.
  4. Right-click the Start button and click Run.
  5. Type powerpnt.exe /regserver into the Run dialog box and click OK. This repairs the registry keys for PowerPoint.
  6. When the PowerPoint repair process is complete, reboot your computer.
  7. Open your Articulate 360 desktop app by clicking the icon in your computer's system tray (by the clock) or using the shortcut on your desktop.
  8. Click the Install button next to Studio 360. A fresh copy of Studio will automatically install.

If you're still experiencing unexpected behavior, make sure Microsoft .NET Framework is enabled and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is installed. Here's how:

  1. To ensure that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 is enabled:
    • Type Turn Windows features on or off in the search field on your taskbar. (If the search field isn't visible, right-click the Start button and choose Search.)
    • Click Turn Windows features on or off in the search results.
    • Mark the box for .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services if it's not already selected and click OK.
  2. Verify that Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is installed on your computer. If it's missing, download and install it here.
