Storyline 360: Animations and Transitions Aren't Smooth When Published as a Video File

You may notice that object animations and transitions aren’t as smooth in video output compared to other publishing formats. This is due to the difference in frame rates.

Frame rate is a frequency at which consecutive images, called frames, appear. The higher the frame rate, the more fluid the images appear on the screen.

When publishing to video, Storyline 360 plays all the slides at a constant rate of 30 frames per second (fps). When publishing for Web, LMS, or Review 360, the browser controls the frame rate and runs animations at around 60 fps. (The same is true when you preview a project).
