Cannot edit or delete a Presenter Bio that contains bullet points

This article applies to:

If you copy and paste bulleted text from another application, such as Microsoft Word or Notepad, into a Presenter Bio, you may encounter the following symptoms:

  • The Presenter Bio is truncated.
  • You cannot edit the Presenter Bio.
  • You cannot delete the Presenter Bio.

This is a known issue.  You can correct it.  Here's how:

  1. If you have a Presenter Bio that has already encountered this issue, you will need to delete it from the Articulate program files.  Navigate to the following directory, depending on your version of Microsoft Windows:nbsp;
    • 32-bit operating systems:  C:\Program Files\Articulate\Presenter\objects\presenters
    • 64-bit operating systems:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Articulate\Presenter\objects\presenters

    If, however, you're using a non-administrative account in a Windows Vista or later, you may find your presenters stored in one of the following locations:

    • C:\Users\your_name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Articulate\Presenter\Objects\Playlists
    • C:\ProgramData\Articulate\Articulate Presenter 5\Objects\Playlists
  2. Delete the folder that corresponds to the corrupt Presenter Bio from the directory above.
  3. Then create a new Presenter Bio, but do not save it yet.
  4. After copying and pasting your bulleted text into the Presenter Bio, delete the space between each bullet point and the text that follows.
  5. Then use the spacebar on your keyboard to add an appropriate number of spaces after each bullet point.
  6. Click the OK button to save your new Presenter Bio.
