Article Last Updated

This article applies to:

Presenter '09 presentations cannot be modified or published with previous versions of the software, nor does Presenter '09 support a downgrade feature.  However, if you have a PowerPoint presentation that has been created with or upgraded to Presenter '09, you can modify and publish the PowerPoint file (PPT or PPTX) on a computer using Presenter 5.

Please note that none of the Presenter '09 resources (audio, video, player template, etc.) will be accessible in Presenter 5 when using this method.

PowerPoint 2007:

  1. Open the PowerPoint presentation, and click the round Microsoft Office button in the upper left corner.
  2. Scroll to Prepare, and select Properties.
  3. Click the Document Properties drop-down list in the Properties panel, and select Advanced Properties.
  4. Select the Custom tab.
  5. Select each of the Articulate values in the Properties list box, and click the Delete button.
  6. Click OK, and save the PowerPoint file.

PowerPoint 2003 and earlier:

  1. Open the PowerPoint presentation.
  2. Go to File > Properties.
  3. Select the Custom tab.
  4. Select each of the Articulate values in the Properties list box, and click the Delete button.
  5. Click OK, and save the PowerPoint file.

After editing the Properties as described above, you may modify and publish the PowerPoint file (PPT or PPTX) with Articulate Presenter 5.
