How to align grouped objects to cue points

Using the timeline, you can align objects on your slide to cue points in the narration, so they'll animate into the slide at the appropriate times.  (For more information on syncing animations in Storyline, click here.)

However, if you've grouped several objects together, you'll find that you can't align the entire grouped object to a cue point.  To align a grouped object to a cue point, do the following:

  1. In the timeline, click the triangle that appears to the left of the grouped object to reveal all the items that are part of the group.
  2. Select the first item in the group.  Then hold down the Shift key and select the last item in the group, so they're all selected.
  3. Right-click the selected items, and align them to a specific cue point.
