You may find that an illustrated character becomes very large when clicking Reset Picture.
This is a known issue that occurs in PowerPoint 2007. (It doesn't happen in PowerPoint 2010 or later.) PowerPoint 2007 not only resets an image's formatting but also its size. Since characters are high resolution images that have been scaled down to fit on the PowerPoint slide, resetting their size scales them up to their full (actual) size. You can correct it in any of the following ways:
- Use the Undo feature in PowerPoint.
- Delete and reinsert the character.
- Right-click the character, select Size and Position, set the Scale Height to 5%, and click Close. (Five percent should make the character fit on your slide. You may need to tweak it using its sizing handles.)
