You may find that the outline for a shape in your presentation does not display consistently on all sides of the shape when published with Presenter '09 if the following criteria are true:

  • You are using PowerPoint 2010 or 2007.
  • Transparency has been applied to the fill color of the shape.

This is a known issue.  You can correct it in one of the following ways:

Remove the fill transparency

  1. Right-click the shape, and select Format Shape.
  2. Set the Fill Color Transparency to 0%.
  3. Click the Close button.
  4. Publish your presentation.

Add a shadow

  1. Right-click the shape, and select Format Shape.
  2. Select the Shadow tab.
  3. Use the Presets drop-down list to select a shadow option.
  4. Optional:  If you would prefer not to see the shadow in your published presentation, set the shadow Transparency as high as 99%.
  5. Click the Close button.
  6. Publish your presentation.

Save as picture

  1. Right-click the shape, and select Save as Picture.
  2. Save the shape as an image.  PNG or EMF formats are recommended to retain transparency.
  3. Delete the shape.
  4. Insert the image in its place.
  5. Publish your presentation.
