Studio '13: Supported Versions of Microsoft Office

Article Last Updated

This article applies to:

Articulate Studio '13 works with 32-bit and 64-bit desktop versions of Microsoft Office 2007-2019 and Microsoft Office 365 (desktop apps only). Studio '13 doesn't work with:

  • Office 365 web apps
  • Office 365 mobile apps
  • Click-to-run versions of Office 2010

Note: Visual Basic for Applications must be installed. It's part of the typical Office setup. If it wasn't included in your installation, here's how to install it.

Here's how to tell which desktop version of Office you have:

Office 2013 and Later

  1. Launch PowerPoint.
  2. Create a new presentation, or open an existing one.
  3. Go to the File tab on the ribbon, and click Account.
  4. Click About PowerPoint on the right side of the screen.
  5. Version information will be listed at the top of the window that appears.

Office 2010

  1. Launch PowerPoint.
  2. Go to the File tab on the ribbon, and click Help.
  3. Version information will be listed on the right side of the screen. Make sure it doesn't say Click-to-Run.

Office 2007

Office 2007 is only available in 32-bit versions and doesn't come in Click-to-Run downloads. If you're using Office 2007 Service Pack 3 or later, you're all set! To check your service pack level:

  1. Launch PowerPoint.
  2. Go to the round Microsoft Office button in the upper left corner, and click PowerPoint Options.
  3. Click Resources on the left side of the window. Make sure it says SP3 (or later) at the bottom of the details pane on the right.
