Text Is Pixelated in the Articulate Storyline Authoring Environment

If you find that text isn't crisp, is pixelated, or has low resolution in the Articulate Storyline authoring environment, it's likely that ClearType isn't enabled in Windows.

Follow the instructions below for your version of Windows to correct this issue:

Windows 10

  1. Enter ClearType in the search field on your taskbar. (If the search field isn't visible, right-click the Start button and choose Search.)
  2. Click Adjust ClearType text in the search results.
  3. Mark the box to Turn on ClearType, and follow the prompts to fine tune the appearance of text.

Windows 8

  1. Right-click your desktop, and select Personalize.
  2. Click Display in the lower left corner of the window that appears.
  3. Click Adjust ClearType text in the left navigation pane.
  4. Mark the box to Turn on ClearType, and follow the prompts to fine tune the appearance of text.

Windows 7 or Windows Vista

  1. Go to the Start menu, and enter ClearType into the Search field.
  2. From the search results that appear, select Adjust ClearType text.
  3. Mark the box to Turn on ClearType, and follow the prompts to fine tune the appearance of text.

Windows XP

Use Microsoft's online ClearType Tuner to adjust the appearance of text.
