The PPTA file and sharing Presenter '09 projects

Article Last Updated

This article applies to:

The PPTA file is generated by Articulate Presenter '09.  It contains Articulate resources for your presentation, such as:

  • Audio files
  • Video files
  • Attachments
  • Logo
  • Player template
  • Presenters
  • Quizmaker quizzes
  • Engage interactions

The PPTA file has the same file name as your PowerPoint (PPT or PPTX) file.  The PPTA file and the corresponding PowerPoint file must not be renamed or separated.  Otherwise, the Articulate resources that are stored in the PPTA file will no longer be accessible to the PowerPoint presentation.

If you need to share your project files with another developer or transfer them to another computer:

  1. Create an Articulate Presenter Package.
  2. Then transfer the resulting ZIP file to another developer or another computer.
  3. Fully extract the ZIP file in its new location to modify or publish the presentation.
