Storyline 1: Things to Consider When Importing PowerPoint Content

Importing PowerPoint content into Articulate Storyline isn't an exact one-to-one conversion. As a result, text may look a bit different. And although most features in PowerPoint and Articulate Presenter '09 are supported in Storyline, some aren't.

Imported text may not look the same way it does in PowerPoint. You may find some variations in font size, line spacing, alignment, colors, or bullets. Click here for more information.

Articulate Presenter '09 Features

  • Annotations won't be imported, but you can create your own in Storyline. Click here for details.
  • Attachments won't be imported, but you can import them separately. Click here for details.
  • Advance behavior will be imported. When a slide is set to advance automatically in Presenter, Storyline will add a trigger to jump to the next slide when the timeline ends.
  • Branching won't be imported, but you can configure branching in Storyline after importing your presentation. Click here for details.
  • Slide-level locking won't be imported, but you can use variables and triggers to effectively lock slides in Storyline. Click here for details.
  • Player template settings—such as navigation, text labels, and colors—won't be imported. You'll need to configure these settings in the Storyline player.
  • Presenter panel videos aren't supported in Storyline and won't be imported.
  • Learning Games aren't supported in Storyline and won't be imported.
  • Playlists aren't supported in Storyline and won't be imported. (Slide audio will still be imported.)
  • Presenter bios aren't supported in Storyline and won't be imported.
