Apple no longer allows videos with audio to autoplay in Safari 11+. As a result, a video on the first slide of a Storyline or Studio course might not work. This article explains how to update your courses so learners have the best experience in Safari.
How to Make Videos Work in Google Safari 11+
We added support for Apple's new autoplay policy to Storyline and Studio. To publish new courses that work in Safari 11+, install the latest software update. Click here for Storyline 360 and Studio 360 updates. Click here for Storyline 3, Storyline 2, and Studio '13 updates.
To make existing courses compatible with Safari 11+ without republishing them, simply scan them with our mass update tool. Here's how.
What Learners Can Expect
Learners using Safari 11+ will see a play button when they launch or resume a course with a video on the first slide. Clicking the play button starts the course and allows the video to play. Videos on other slides should play as expected (unless your slides are set to advance automatically without user interaction).
