At Articulate, we value your right to privacy. We know it's important to you, and we want you to feel safe, knowing all your data is secure. Here’s how we handle the different types of data associated with your Articulate 360 subscription.

Personal Information and Usage Data

Personal information relates to you as an individual: your name, phone number, company, job title, email, and postal address. We collect these details when you register for an Articulate ID, join our E-Learning Heroes Community, purchase a subscription, apply for a job, request customer support, communicate with us, and participate in surveys, contests, or events.

Personal information also includes usage data related to your use of Articulate websites and services: your internet protocol (IP) address, internet service provider (ISP), access times, browser type and language, visited web pages, behavior during each visit, and previous web page before navigating to our services.

We use the data above to personalize our websites, communicate with you, and improve our apps and services. We never sell your information to data brokers. As our privacy notice describes, we may share your personal information and usage data with third parties, such as service providers and authorized resellers.

Usage data also includes metrics on how often you use Articulate 360 features and errors that occur behind the scenes while you're working. We use these metrics and error reports to improve our products.

Opting Out of Sending Your Personal Information

If you’d prefer to opt out of sending your personal information to Articulate, you can change your privacy preferences at any time, as described below.

Articulate 360 Desktop Apps: To opt out of sharing your usage data for Storyline 360, Studio 360, Replay 360, and Peek 360, update the privacy preference in your Articulate 360 desktop app. (The desktop opt-out setting doesn't prevent error messages from appearing as you're working in any of the Articulate 360 desktop apps. You can choose whether to submit each error message to us for review.)

Articulate Web Pages: To opt out of sharing your cookies and tracking technologies on Articulate web pages, modify your cookie preferences.

Marketing Emails: To opt out of our marketing emails, you may unsubscribe by using the opt-out link in any non-transactional email, updating your marketing preferences on your account page, or revising your email subscription preferences.

E-Learning Content

E-learning content refers to the projects you create with Articulate apps. You can rest easy knowing we use bank-grade encryption to store your content and transfer it between your computer and our servers. Your content remains private unless you choose to share it with others, as described below.

Rise 360

Your Rise 360 courses and microlearning remain private unless you share them with your team, send the share links to stakeholders, host the output on an LMS or web server, share block templates with other team members, or invite others to collaborate.

Rise 360 question banks are private by default. However, you can move them to shared folders in the team directory and grant other team members access to the folders.

Review 360

When you publish or manually upload content to Review 360, it remains private unless you send the share link to stakeholders or share items with your team.

Desktop Apps

Projects you create with Storyline 360, Studio 360, Replay 360, and Peek 360 are stored locally on your computer, where only you can access them. No one else can access your content unless you send them the source files or the published output.

Peek 360 videos automatically upload to Review 360 (in addition to being stored on your local computer). No one can access your Review 360 videos unless you give them a direct link to a specific video.

In Storyline 360, you can also create a library of shared team slides that everyone on your team can access.

Team Management

The account owner and team admins generally do not have access to your content. However, they must transfer shared content—such as Storyline 360 shared team slides and Review 360 items in team folders—to someone else if you leave the team and can choose to include your personal content. When your content are transferred, the recipient can view and edit them.

Admins who have user seats can also rename and delete all Storyline 360 team slides and Rise 360 shared block templates when the original content owners aren’t available to make changes.

Not applicable. As an individual subscriber, no one can access or manage your content except you.

Merging Subscriptions

Merging multiple subscriptions into a single team won't change your personal online content. Your Rise 360 content and Review 360 items remain private to you. If you previously shared content with stakeholders, those share links continue to work after merging subscriptions. And Rise 360 collaborators can still access your shared content.

Storyline 360, Studio 360, Replay 360, and Peek 360 projects stored on your local computer remain private throughout the process.

Storyline 360 shared team slides, and Review 360 team folders are tied to each subscription. They won’t transfer automatically from the old team to the new one. We recommend following the steps described in this article when you plan to merge subscriptions.

Not applicable as an individual subscriber.

Canceling Subscriptions

When canceling a subscription or allowing it to expire, we’ll keep your Rise 360 content and Review 360 items on our servers up to six months after your paid subscription or free trial ends.

Although you won’t have access to edit your online content, anyone with direct links to your Rise 360 content and Review 360 items can still view them during the grace period after your subscription ends.

Since your personal online content is tied to your Articulate ID, you'll have access to the content again if you renew your subscription or join another team using the same Articulate ID before your content gets deleted from our servers.

Shared content such as Storyline 360 team slides and Review 360 team folders stays with the subscription when it expires.

If you want us to delete all your data immediately or need access to shared content from an expired subscription, let us know, and we'll take care of it right away.
